I really do love his work. I especially like that the "quite" and "forgotten" spaces -- the "negative" spaces behind and around the figure are just as, if not more lovingly explored and painted than the figures themselves. Perhaps it was the use of camera obscura [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_obscura] that prompted such observations, but I wonder if he'd been alive centuries later if he'd've painted figures at all?
That said, what are your thoughts / conclusions ' questions surrounding this image? How does / do you hope it will inform your part in the installation?
